If he throws ten of these games in a row starting with his next chance in July or so I will be extremely pleased and not shocked.
Maybe we need to go the nickname route.
Allen 'the human eraser' Webster is nominated.

Webster just finished the sixth. His stuff is off the charts and he clearly belongs but.... His mound demeanor is horrible. He is the opposite of intimidating on the mound. It's Beaver Cleaver with triple digits its and a monster change. Facial hair maybe? A concussion or two? I'm trying to be glib but it is a real issue to me. Tonight is a success no question, but am I off base here? I didn't realize that the goal of starting pitching was to intimidate the opponent. I thought the goal was to get them out. Fair enough and deserved. But let me ask you this. Have you seen him before? Also, turret gunner Carp does not belong in the outfield.

Hernandez with the tough luck loss gaining up only 2 on 2 doubles(one the result of an outfield collision of some sort).

William Cuevas regal width a quality start(1 hit) and Britton while not efficient only gave up one earned.
It seems in prior years we had only a few quality starts per week. So far, we seem to have a couple a night.

If you had Portland +15 runs tonight, YOU LOST! (at least Bogaerts had two hits, including a double) Excellent! Even worse if you had Portland +Greenville +25 YOU LOST!

The only time the money matters to me is when it prevents a trade when things aren't working or when the front office admits its the reason why poor performance is tolerated (see theo on Lugo).

Peterson's projections are tricky as he plays in a wind tunnel. I think he would be available in the second.

How many other orgs might use our strategy from last year of selecting "lesser ranked" players early to pre arranged under slot deals to "overdraft" late rand what effect might that have on the sox strategy?
In other words, most posters seem to have a top guy in mind that is somewhere in the top five or so ranked players as the preferred pick
If the sox choose to take best available (without prearranged deals) but other orgs do choose to "under draft', is it possible to walk away with a top 10 and a top 20 guy?
With the likely hood that this draft position will not reoccur in the near future, is this a preferable approach?
Using Law's 50, this would be Frazier or Gray or a slider, and say Trevor Williams, Maguire, or even Moran.

Rubbie gets five of the first six but then the wheels come off.
Hopefully someone is on site today with details.
Are they restricting the type of pitches or his repotoire in any way?

The yanks playing sweet caroline for Boston was pretty cool.
Boston stopping playing sweet caroline would be even better, after one last time, would be pretty cool as well.

Hernandez with an extremely efficient start (gets seven in a row, then a single, and a pickoff) but... Error, single homer and pawsox down 3-2

Well, I'm glad you're not making the "Pedroia struggled in April!" argument, but I've heard it more than a few times already. Also, screw Curt Schilling -- MY assessment that Bradley should continue to be developed in the minors has proved prophetic. shill (??l) — n slang a confidence trickster's assistant, esp a person who poses as an ordinary customer, gambler, etc, in order to entice others to participate Lol No more apt name.

When I saw Almanzar he seemed slow in the field and a slow bat, but a huge exceptionally young guy.
Could he be catching up to his size?
"growing" into his body?
(and for the love of God don't leave Webster"s definition of growing for me).

Let's play your game. Under your scenario, how do you make him as good as he once was?
We are close to a year of wasted talent.
