Its crazy looking at the pole to open this thread and to see how few thought whitlock or Houck would be in the rotation.

Everything else aside… Houck SO. Crawford dealing. Now 6 1-hit innings from Bello? The three home-grown musketeers. After decades of futility, they suddenly look like the Braves. The team is stacked with young pitching but can't field a competent SS to save their life. Need to go SS in the draft to balance out the system. Hahahahahahahahhahahahahhahahahahaha

IMO Ceddanne is like 6 runs above average in CF, and maybe 2 runs below average at SS (average major league SS is a really high bar) How many runs below average is the alternative? -15? 20? For real. Maybe more

Turns out all we had to do to get Dalbec going was to put Raffaella at SS. Got Raffy going to

Dalbec is quite possibly the worst hitter we’ve seen inn the last 10 years. How about not batting 5th? Dalbac is a poor mans Chris Davis. That is bad. The quicker he is bot getting ABs and the quicker that a real SS is on the field the better

If the big 3 continue there good starts, and with all the prospects about to graduate, what are realistic rankings we can wxpect to see on the next updates? In think we will see Anthony and Mayer in lots of top 10s Eh, are there that many? Holliday, Chourio, Carter, Langford, Merrill is the list of guys ahead of both at MLB. Add Keith ahead of Anthony. One would think Caminero ( if healthy) will Soon get a call. Lawlar is going to miss most season, so he should be easily passed. So i guess it depends where whta publication has them where. MLB. Com 15/22. Without passing anybody would be 8 and 14ish.

I think a lesson here is that the only real way to improve a bad defense is to replace the bad defensive players. This year's team has problems at the CIF spots, LF and now at SS. 2B is mediocre at best. It's not like offense where decent guys put up career years and are great producers for that year. Get enough of those guys on a team for a year and you're going to score runs. But while bad defensive players can make improvements around the edges, they usually remain bad defensive players. An exception would be someone like Boggs who put in the work to become a GG 3B. He was no chicken when it came to hard work, I'll tell you that.😎 I find 2b the worst? No?? SS close 2nd. Rest i can live with if they hit

8/$50M but that seems to include this year as it reportedly keeps him here through 2031 That would be an AAV of $6.25M, which sounds about right. He'd be making an additional $5M to $5.5M above what he would have gotten in '24, '25 and '26. That will not strain the budget in any of those three years. After that, the economic rewards of the deal start to tip toward the club. If he pans out, he'll be a nice cheap 3 WAR player on some great Red Sox teams. I live it. Casas and houck please

Getting absolutely dominated by that beach ball, might have to get him away from there I think hes to important in CF. But it does give a much deeper lineup. What is best worst case for story? Stinger/ seperated shoulder. 4-6 weeks. Break / muscle tear broken coler bone. 2-3 months.

Coming into the game, Devers, Casas, Valdez and Abreu were all looking up at Mendoza. That is about the same number of Yankee starters under the Mendoz lines. Cant realy look at individual stats until at least 20 games in. The exception might be Dalbec.

What is Cora supposed to do? If Kenley is down it's Joely, Slaten with zero career games played above AA and Chase Anderson in the pen and there's 3 of 4 lefties coming. Suppose to have houck down there
