Beltre at AA at 21: .231 .285 .300 .584 Margot at AA at 20: .249 .299 .381 .680 Beltre's career K% in the minors is 18%. Margot's is 11%. I'm not the biggest Margot fan either but he's just a way, way better hitter than Beltre (and defender)ever was. added bolded part

I predict he'll be ranked higher than Trey Ball by the end of next year. It'll be quite a jump, especially in this system, if he starts out in Lowell. How's his fastball velocity looking? Anyone?

Please tell me not to think that Espinoza is the best of all of our prospects in the last 5 years. I'm more excited about him than Betts and Bogaerts. He's already #1 for me currently. Pitchers will break your heart. temple u sux.....for being right...hopefully this isn't one of those cases.

He's done after 4. And he should be done with the GCL. Let's see. I agree. He should be sent to Lowell, for a "Boston" experience. There's only a couple of weeks left anyways and he's probably good for another 20 innings or so.

It's a shame JBJ hasn't hit MLB pitching. What a joy to watch in the OF.
And there's no reason why Beni couldn't play in A+ right now. He seems so advanced in his approach at the plate.

Nice going for Raudes! Another arm in the low minors to keep an eyeball on. Some really nice international signings the last couple of years that just keep on producing.

I fully support any move that f*** up the MFY chances of winning the division! I also like canadian people. Good for the Jays, hopefully we'll help them by beating the skanks in the final serie Orioles style! Not if it ruins our chances at a higher draft pick! It's not THAT inconceivable. One will do but I don't see the Sox giving FA pitchers the years that someone else will give these guys. There are very few exceptions. I think we should make another push for King Felix. sorta, kinda kidding.

Cuzittt over on SOSH reports that the Greenville game will be nationally televised on CBS Sports Network. Yeah, I noticed they televise a game from different MiLB leagues at least weekly or maybe more often.

If Owens didn't have the ugly BB rate, his WHIP would be pretty impressive.

To be fair, and I'm just going off the box score's table, the lineup he is facing only has 2 batters with an Average over .200 (.221 and .271) Imagine if he was a HS senior in the U.S.....next year.

If he can't go more than 4 innings then he needs to go to the bullpen pronto!

Thanks Eric. Pulido is a guy I was keeping an eye on also. He's on the smaller size so the increase in games played along with the heat could just be the cause of his slash line slippage due to fatigue of playing catcher. Still looks good though as a whole.

GCL game postponed (rain). Even Mother Nature already fears AE I think the Rays minor leaguers saw Bull Durham one too many times and turned the sprinklers on. Can't say I blame them but they better not pull this crap next time.

Is it possible he might have known a couple of weeks ago or so that he might be suspended? That may have led to his bout of wildness the last couple of games. Or he could've been tiring and just over-throwing a bit. Either way it sounds like this drug didn't really enhance his performance, we don't know for sure, which could be important to a hard thrower like Kopech.

Logan Boyd sighting in Lowell. I didn't expect that. Was he just that good in XST (or post draft XST)? Anyone interview Sox staff about this? Did anyone confuse him with Jon Lester and thought he was on rehab assignment? Edit: I guess my coffee hasn't kicked in yet. Release Logan Boyd so I don't make this mistake again. No Logan ALLEN sightings as of yet!

FWIW, if you want to get more giddy, Gammons quotes a "Red Sox official" on twitter as saying: "We haven't had anyone like Espinoza in decades." A legit pitching prospect from Venezuela? I agree!

Espinoza with 3 k's through 6ip....in the GCL. Can you say right-handed Trey Ball?
Nice to see them put him right in. I hope this kid stays healthy as all the reports so far are glowing. Even though it is a GCL game (and some DSL), they still haven't touched him up. Just scattered crap here and there. And it's very encouraging for someone so young to keep the BB's almost non-existant. That is very impressive. Send him to Lowell!

Gordon Edes ?@gordonedes 6m6 minutes ago Yoan Moncada, the 19-year-old signed this spring by Red Sox, to make pro debut next couple of days for Class A Greenville Is anyone else troubled by the fact that they are still holding him out a couple of days, rather than playing him right now? LOL...not even me!

Really the Illuminati are preventing the Red Sox from assigning him to Greenville. If you just admitted to this in the first place you would've saved 2 pages of noise in this thread. p.s. when I clicked on "quote" to reply to your post, it came up with your unedited message (....the "ok, ok, etc, stuff about Soler"). I think the Illumanti has it out for you by preventing you from completely editing your original post. It was good to see though.

I understand all you are saying and you make some good points. But let's not brush this over as all other MiLB teams have spanish speaking players who could help him get acclimated to the culture. Also, and this is my stupid point of the day, Ted Williams came back after not playing for three years. Look up his stats his first year back. He had a career average year. Again, not the same thing but if you can play, you can play. It doesn't matter how long you've been out or what planet you're from. Is your point that the fact that he hasn't been assigned to an affiliate yet suggests he can't play? Because I think the Red Sox gave us about 63,000,000 reasons to think otherwise... No, my point is it shouldn't take this long to get up to speed and start playing in real games. There's 63,000,000 reasons why he should already be out there. You guys have inside info. Why don't you share some of it or is there a gag order in affect? WHY ISN'T HE PLAYING YET? And for those replying to my comment about Ted Williams, really? You took all of that serious? The only point in that comment was that you can be out of professional baseball for a while and it doesn't take 6 months of spring training to get your timing back.
