We must of already won cuz Farrell is putting in Kimbrel for the 9th. Either that or he thinks Baltimore is our home. Seems to me we might need a closer a little later in the game.

Vaz swings at ball 4 then hits into double play ... seems like the norm when they are needing to scoring runs in a close game.

Yeah, Farrell looked a bit silly forgetting the rules last night, but the important thing was he was ready for the quick hook with Reed. I applaud the move. So what if he got caught up in the moment. With the CY / Devers early pinch hit, also. He managed like it was a playoff game and I give him props. Now if he would of done the same with Barnes (after looking at his stats away) with the quick hook who knows what a great manager he could become.

No sink on those two seamers for 3-1 and 3-2 but it worked with the breaking ball. Now keep it in the park the rest of the way Rick!

Porcello missed bad with that 1-2 pitch ... ouch!

If Porcello would settle down and work on throwing strikes instead of trying to finesse pitches with a runner on he might get out of jams though ... seems like he goes into panic mode way to early every start this year.

The short term solution might be send Bogey to 10 day DL to work this out. What is he now 1 for 18 or so on this trip?

How is that an earned run? Drew gets more BS runs tagged to his bottom line than any other Sox pitcher. MLB.com has it as an unearned run though...

Is Will Crowe a possibility, Seems like he is back from his surgery and might be a pitcher to take a flyer on. Take a flyer on with your second round pick?! He is pitching like he did before his surgery and throwing 92-95 with 97 top and a plus curve.

I would seriously start looking into selling a starter for prospects then signing Turner depending on the cost. He'd be a big lift for the team over the next couple of years now than Moncada is gone. Isn't there just one starter past the big 3 that is going to help keep them down on costs? Buck at 13.5M otherwise they don't save any money.

Wow I see he also has 15 walks and 15 hits in 12 1/3 innings ... his control issues need a lot of work for sure.

I remember reading when this first came out the Red Sox weren't seeking a reversal of the trade... that is baffling to me. It's because they still want Pomeranz. I don't see how that's baffling. They were willing to give up Espinoza for a guy who was set to blow past his previous IP high. That was already a red flag that there could be injury issues. They paid that price for him because they needed a reliable MLB-quality starting pitcher. If the trade is undone, they're a title contender who is back to having that hole in the rotation again. Consider that at the time, Buchholz was potentially not long for the roster. You can't change your mind and go back to the commissioner to undo the trade now that you have a bit more SP depth. Wasn't there talk coming out that the sox wanted something back from this revelation and they couldn't get it from San Diego? If that came from the earlier revelations wouldn't MLB be wronging the Sox for not forcing the issue?

Why doesn't deepjohn have a new avatar yet? Major league season isn't quite over yet. I'll wait to count my chickens when they hatch. LOL Out west for DJ the saying would go something like this ... A deeply dug outhouse will be coming to a neighborhood near you soon ...
