See, there's your problem right there Not to mention the two asshats, whose show he reported that on. Tried to dig into this a little bit more and found a chat from Keith Law from last month that does indeed refute what "Red Light" said this morning. Link with related excerpt below- meadowparty.com/blog/2016/06/10/klawchat-61016/"mike: can you explain the reason what the catch-all term “character concerns” is so often used (e.g. Groome) and what those concerns are are not actually reported by anyone? Is it respect for kid’s privacy or something else Klaw: Because lawyers. I know what’s up with Groome – I did some background work of my own to check on some of the rumors (nearly all of which turned out to be false … for example, he was not kicked out of IMG). But I can’t say exactly what I know because ESPN has editorial standards for reporting and I abide by those."

He was homesick in Fla @ IMG & had to move back home. Imagine if he gets signed next year by a west coast team. At least in Boston, he is in the northeast. Even their A+ AA AAA teams are not that far from NJ. According to Curt Schilling this morning on the D&C show, he got kicked out of IMG.

John Manuel @johnmanuelba 13h13 hours ago ML scouting bureau drug tests its top 200 prospects every draft year, sends to clubs. Clubs haven't received results yet. Unusually late WTF? Why do they even bother testing then if they can't provide the teams with that information prior to the draft? That seems like some pretty relevant information teams would want to have available in making decisions like this. If MLB funds the testing I'd want those results delivered to my team a week before the draft with a nice bow on it.

I have a hard time getting mad at Sandoval when this is the exact risk the Red Sox assumed when signing him. Huh??? So you're saying a guy who signed an MLB contract should not be held accountable for not preparing himself to be physically capable of playing baseball at an MLB level? Don't get me wrong, the Sox clearly made a poor decision offering him this deal without any sort of weight clause and it seems their due diligence was non-existent, but to say you can't get mad at Sandoval for this issue seems pretty crazy. Signing a guaranteed contract shouldn't give you carte blanche to neglect your responsibilities to the team to put yourself in a position to be a productive player.

I honestly have no idea how strong Sandoval's grasp of English is, and maybe that plays into this some, but to me he sounds like he's completely rolling over here (no pun intended) and is perfectly happy to park his large frame on the bench and collect a paycheck. This would be entirely contradictory to what he's shown the Boston fans to this point but wouldn't it be refreshing if he said something along the lines of "I want to be a productive part of this organization and I'm very disappointed in myself that I wasn't able to prove to management and the coaching staff this off-season and spring that I deserve to be the starting 3B to begin the season. I respect Coach Farrell's decision on this matter and believe his decision at this time is in the best interest of the team, but I'm going to do everything in my power to make his decision going forward regarding playing time a difficult one." It's all words either way in the end and is completely meaningless but I just think today's comments are again consistent with a guy who does not care about being a good baseball player. His actions have shown that to this point. He's probably just psyched he gets to really step up his Tinder game during ballgames now! This basically illustrates that there is nothing he could have said that would please everyone. I completely agree. What I am saying though is that if he cared about his image at all (not saying he does although he is pretty sensitive with the media thus far), a comment such as the one I provided above would probably go over a little better with the majority of Sox fan than "I'm happy with the decision."

David Laurila davidlaurilaqa Was told that Pablo Sandoval blew up at reporter yesterday for citing declining defensive stats in article. Slammed table w/ bat during rant John Tomase @jtomase 33m33 minutes ago As for yesterday's "incident," such things happen all the time, and reporters and players typically work them out among themselves. John Tomase @jtomase 13m13 minutes ago This didn't go through. Will try again. Sandoval on incident with reporter: "That happened yesterday. It's past. Today's a new day." This guy continues to exhibit a complete inability to show accountability for his actions, or inaction for that matter. It's going to get a lot uglier very soon with this slob.

Can anyone tell that we're in the awful purgatory of post-Patriots/pre-Spring Training yet?
To quote the immortal words of a one Peter Griffin: "Oh my God, who the hell cares???"

Why should anyone on this team feel entitled enough to think they have a permanently safe roster spot? This team has done nothing but under-perform for two straight years so a major shake-up is needed anyway. Cherrington's only goal should be putting the best team out on the field, not worrying about the psyche of his remaining players post trade. Maybe it would actually light a fire under them for once.

It's drool inducing to see how filthy the homegrown 2020 roster could potentially be.

If Kopech/Espinoza finish the second half performing like they have up to this point it's hard not to think that they would be virtual "locks" to makes top 50s by seasons end/off season which would give them 7 total top 50 which would be downright upsurd. Consider that coming into the season Boston tied with few others to lead most TOP 100! lists with a total of 7 prospects included!!! I would have to go back and check up on all the previous lists but I am inclined to think that 7 top 50s would be virtually unprecedented. To go along with Swihart and E-Rod graduating this year and Mookie/Xander in 2014. An embarrassment of riches. Now if they can put it all together and actually capitalize on all this talent over the next 5-7 years!

Ryan Hannable ?@ryanhannable 5s5 seconds ago Shane Victorino just got scratched. No reason given. Nava starts in right. Maybe he's built his trade value up enough for a team to take a shot on him. Wishful thinking....#freeRusney

Lulz. T here are rules in place for what the punishment Is, so maybe stop making up your own? And also, why don't we wait till all the facts are out? Honestly, though, this is yet another stupid scandal, much like Spy and Boutygate. Rodgers admits to over inflating footballs and no one cares. Brad Johnson admits to PAYING people to deflate them before the Super Bowl and no one cares. Haters gonna hate. The only rule in place for this situation is a minimum fine of $25,000 so the maximum penalty will be at the discretion of the league office.

... he as head coach, especially after the spygate scandal, is ultimately responsible for ... Yeah, the same way that Roger Goodell, as commissioner, is ultimately responsible for the fact that the league should have known exactly what happened in that elevator before decreeing an initial punishment for Ray Rice, right? When it involves something that happens on the field and affects actual gameplay, yes- absolutely.

I don't get it. Belichick really can't help himself can he? How hard is it to abide by such a simple regulation? Does he honestly think something so petty is going to give his team that big of an advantage that it's worth risking the legacy of himself, his QB, and the franchise?
I'm as big a Pats fan as anyone but I think the league should suspend Belichick for the Superbowl if it's true that 11 of the 12 balls were under-inflated by more than 15% of the regulated levels. Even if he wasn't the one giving the OK to deflate the balls after their initial check and was somehow unaware of this situation, he as head coach, especially after the spygate scandal, is ultimately responsible for the people beneath him and how they should behave.
